I have to find more info on this. On another site this guy swears they are legal in alberta, i can buy them at my LFS,(i've seen them personaly) And everyone from Toronto keeps telling me there are Illegal. By the way all the lakes in alberta freeze over hard to breath for a air breathing fish. Maybe they are just Illegal around the Great lakes?

They are illegal in Ontario.... as of 2004....

even if the lake freeze over, the bottom of the lake will always remain an average of 4 celsius degree..
