illegal snapping turtles?

i dont know if snapping turtles are illegal in California...

are they? i really want a baby one, but i just want to make sure im not breaking the law or anything!!!!

also does anyone ahve pics of a baby snapper? i would love to see some!

in my state there illegal to sell but you can house up to three without breaking any laws

I believe all species of snapping turtle are illegal to own in the state of CA.

I was under the impression that alligator snappers were considered endangered and illegal to sell/buy/own all over the country.

i was told snappers were illegal in florida............. lie, u can even have ONE alligator snapper, no more

what about soft shelled turtles.. they look cute also... are they okay to keep or are they also illegal?

Snapping Turtles are illegal, but Softshells are ok.
