illegal snapping turtles?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i know thats what i was starting to think in my head... i mean many states have snapping turtles... why cant CALI have some... i think CALI is getting a lil too much strict... i mean no ferrets?! not that i like ferrets... but still, come on!!!

The reason you guys can't have them is because they are worried how they will effect the ecosystem when they are released by irresponsible pet owners. Of course it wouldn't suprise me if feral turtles are already breeding in the state of CA.

Don't want to end up like Florida...no offense to any Floridians:D

hey banjamin! you live near me.. valencia is like 1 hour and 30 min. from bakersfield...

u have any soft shelled turtles? =P

There isn't any good fish/rep shops in Valencia, IMO. I usually end up in the Valley. If you're willing to make a 2 hour to 2 and a half hour drive, I know a few places.

you mean SAN FERNANDO VALLEY? northridge area... thats wher my cuz lives and thats where i buy my fish too...

so any stores that sell soft shells there?

You can check out Reptile Depot or Exotic Life off Topanga. Rainbow Pet Shop on Woodman has a few turtles. And Pet Supreme on Foothill in Slymar has some nice reptiles.

i just called reptile depot and they said they had 2 soft shelled for sale...

man cali is too strict especially about not being able to have any types of gars. (true gars that is)
