Thanks for the wishes, I hope so too!
Should I salt at the same time as melafix and pimafix? OR should I continue waterchanges till the salt is gone.?

It's your call but I wouldn't add MelaFix or PrimaFix to any of my tanks on a bet. I do not like that stuff. I know some swear by it and I'm through 'debating' it :-) I would only add the salt 1 tsp/10 gal. You might read through some articles at www.skepticalaquarist.com and see if you come up with any possible disease ideas of what it could be.

I like to treat with salt and temperature, where possible. I really hate resorting to store bought meds, but looks like I'm running out of ways to fix this problem, I most definitly will check out that website! Thanks !

I've been reading a lot on treatments and possible things it could be. I found this excerpt on the bottom of a page for Koi/Goldfish treatment of body sores.

NOTE: A new product has recently become available that is a potentated anti-bacteria dip. It is called TriCide-Neo. It is purchased as a packet of powder that you mix with distilled water. You place the infected fish into this aerated mixture for about 5-10 minutes or less if it becomes highly agitated. You are directed to redip the fish every other day in the same mixture until healed. An additional bonus is you can use this same mixture to dip multiple fish if necessary and it also claims to treat gill infections that cannot be treated topically with a disinfectant. It also would seem to hold promise for dipping new fish and fish returning from a show. TriCide-Neo is available from several larger pond & koi dealers. I definitely plan to try it myself. Here is a link to some additional information about this product. http://www.tricide-neo.com"
Site is here : http://www.texaskoi.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=53&Itemid=58

/Anyways/. Link to tricide-neo is dead. Googled it. Came up with this...

http://www.koiacres.com/Koi-Acres-Products/tricide-neo.html

SAYS ON SITE :

Tricide-Neo

Tricide-Neo® is indicated for bacterial infections in ornamental fish. If your fish has:
  • Body sores
  • Fin rot
  • Mouth rot
  • Pink skin
  • Red bruises
Ulcer Disease is a common bacterial disease of Koi and Goldfish, most often encountered in the Springtime. The reason the disease occurs so commonly in the Springtime is because the fish have just emerged from a long, cold winter during which time their immune system was non-functional. Parasites and bacterial pathogens all gain the "upper-hand" on these vulnerable fish. Tricide-Neo® literally punches holes into bacteria, allowing antibiotics to enter and help destroy drug-resistant strains of bacteria.

Now, I have never heard of this. Has anyone heard anything about this product before? Has anyone used it? I'm wondering if this would be worth a go. Sounds like some potent stuff. "punches holes into bacteria" but is it too potent? Opinions?

bacterial 100% You need meds fast...Do NOT use pila or milafix....I call that mila-fail....Meds, try jungle....

how are they doing? did you try antibiotics? or maracyn 2?

I treated with two full treatments of erthomycin, didn't do much.

Right now I've got some Jungle Fungus/Bacteria Eliminator, ( actives : nitrofurazone, potassium dichromate, furazolidone) since yesterday, waiting a few days before expecting anything.

crap i jinxed myself by posting on this! i noticed that my african bumblebee has a sore where her right nostril is now!ahhhh!! lol. and when i was doing a waterchange, i have a pseudo. acei that has a ulcer in front of one of her pectoral fins.

i am treating with salt, and i have bought Maracyn Plus-its a broad spectrum antibiotic. you treat the tank on days 1,3, and 5. i will let you know if i see improvement

im betting i have the same bacterial infection your little guys have. have you used an antibiotic besides erythromycin yet? i would get one designed for gram pos. and negative rods as it would have a better effect.

let me know if yours are healing up.
