Here you go cut and paste from Wikipedia not quite laymen terms but may help.
A further difference between albinism and leucism is in eye colour. Due to the lack of melanin production in both the retinal pigmented epithelium (RPE) and iris, albinos typically have red eyes due to the underlying blood vessels showing through. In contrast, most leucistic animals have normally coloured eyes. This is because the melanocytes of the RPE are not derived from the neural crest, instead an outpouching of the neural tube generates the optic cup which, in turn, forms the retina. As these cells are from an independent developmental origin, they are typically unaffected by the genetic cause of leucism.

Imagine if I will order 10 pieces of albino and 5 pieces of snow.. I will tell the seller i want 10 pieces of leucistic silvers and 5 pieces of leucistic silvers. .... The seller I guess will ask "WTF are you on crack or something?"

..

So what part of, A further difference between albinism and leucism is in eye colour, don't you understand ?
Albinism is defined by red/pink eyes.

Layman terms not scientific terms.. see the fish as it presents itself..
You sure albinism is solely defined by red pink eyes.. ?.if what you posted earlier is correct.. you said " albinos typically have red eyes". Typically = usually . Albinos usually have red eyes.. but usually means more often than not.. in another words.. in rare occasions they do not have red eyes.

There are varying forms of albinism. In its purist form there is a complete lack of melanin ie all white with pink eyes. Less severe forms do allow for some melanin in varying degrees and while still technically speaking albinos there may be some pigmentation ie black eyes. or a spot of pigment on the skin.
