those are most likely Florida gar, there is no such thing as marbled gar!

Huh, learn something new everyday...I've always seen them labeled as "marbled gars" in LFS. Never been into keeping gars (space concerns) but I've always liked them. Thanks for the factoid.

What SG do u keep your lionfish in? How long is it? Mine hasn't grown much lately and seems some what lethargic. Don't get me wrong, I know it is an ambush predator so he lays in wait for his dinner to come scooting on by, but he doesn't move near as much anymore.

Sorry what do SG means ?? he is around 6 in. my move around a couple times of days, he love his cave though ... never see him eat but when i put feeding fish in the tank .. the day after his belly is always big
