So on Christmas night, I want over to my girlfriend's house to stay. It was getting late so we were heading to bed. She has a tank built in to her wall where I keep my Red Parrot and Cyano. Well we were laying in bed when I happened to glance over and notice a small cloud of what I initially thought was dirt. But I took a close look and noticed that I had babies! About 40 fry were swimming around their mother in a swarm. I was totally in shock as I must have overlooked the eggs. They have attempted to spawn several times with no luck. The eggs always ended up dying. But they finally succeeded! Here are some very poor quality cell phone pictures until I can get my camera over there.

I'm pumped! :D

So you have parrot texas mix fry? Thats pretty crazy. They must be happy fish. will you try and raise them? I know many people on here hate the idea of hybreds but it could be fun to see what they look like.

I'm going to raise them just because I want to see what they will look like. I expect a very cool and pretty combination. Probably some short-body Cyanos and Red Texas'. And I'm not worried that they're hybrids. At least I like them, which is what matters. :)

isnt that part of a flowerhorn recipe?

I believe so. At least a Red Texas combo, which technically is a Flowerhorn.

Congrats man

it will produce red texas ... expect a mixed batch tho... if any turn out super red the sale for about 120 easily ... good luck

Now there's about 35 of these fry. That's a potential $4200. Don't get my hopes too high!
