I'm a parent!...Kinda

Well one thing, Red Texas isn't considered as a flowerhorn. One main reason why they are listed under flowerhorn is because it is a hybrid with a hump that can grow as a flowerhorn head. Although Red Texas may be part of a flowerhorn recipe, it isn't considered as a flowerhorn. A SRS/RM or RBK is not even considered as a flowerhorn, but it is part of a flowerhorn recipe that can throw out some really nice fish. Listed under flowerhorn, but truly they are not flowerhorns.
Being first generation, I wouldn't have too much hope for them to peel out. I would expect them to come out to be regular Cyno still with maybe a lighter tint color to it and possibly a shorter body. But who knows what their genetic make up can be, just cross your fingers and hope you get what you want. Keep us updated with it...:D
P.S. - I would advise you to take out the father and leave the mother in there. If not then just take out both of the parent or relocate the frys.

I do not currently have a tank that I can move anyone with. The parents are actually doing well with them. She hovers over them while he just kind of stays back and does his own thing. I'm currently feeding them Hikari First Bites, so they are eating well and seem to be very active.

PS - I didn't move this to the flowerhorn section. A mod did.

I'm hoping that your not surprise to find how it turned into 35 frys. Very few died at all when I was into breeding Red Texas unless I left the parents in there for some reason.
And yes if I was a mod I would move it into this section too, afterall it is a hybrid and this is a flowerhorn/hybrid forum. Keep us updated with the frys! :D

So on Christmas night, I want over to my girlfriend's house to stay. It was getting late so we were heading to bed. She has a tank built in to her wall where I keep my Red Parrot and Cyano. Well we were laying in bed when I happened to glance over and notice a small cloud of what I initially thought was dirt. But I took a close look and noticed that I had babies! About 40 fry were swimming around their mother in a swarm. I was totally in shock as I must have overlooked the eggs. They have attempted to spawn several times with no luck. The eggs always ended up dying. But they finally succeeded! Here are some very poor quality cell phone pictures until I can get my camera over there.

I'm pumped! :D

Watch the filter. It's hard to keep them alive because they can easily get sucked up.
