I'm about to give up on my 75gal

If I use bleach (pretty sure I'm going lose my last fish today) what dilution should I use? And then what do I do after the bleach? I will replace the filter cartridges, is changing the water completely a few times enough?

Don't put bleach in the tank. Just turn the temp and salt it. It's worked for me every time.

Especially since you're pregnant, pls be careful with the bleach fumes and any chemicals. Congrats by the way!

Am definatly going with higher temp and salt, I was thinking the bleach as an absolute last resort. Don't worry, I am being very careful with any and all chemicals/cleaning solutions I handle at all times :)

86-88 salt at 1 tbsp per 5 gallons has worked just about every time for me.

If your fish can handle the heat keep it there for a week to 10 days. Extended elevated temps affect the reproductive abilities of the tomites.

Bleach is what they use to clean hospital rooms, including maternity wards.

BTW, I work in the medical field.

Bleach (chlorine) will evaporate, so assuming there are no fish in the tank the chlorine will evaporate - obviously with pregnancy you need to be careful breathing in these fumes. With that said, a very dilute bleach solution would kill everything in the tank, and would cut down the fumes.

If there are no fish in the tank and you don't want to deal with bleach, I would crank the heat up (95+) and add the salt treatment. This will kill everything.
