Not once did you mention ur water params! Nasty water can and will do all sorts of bad things to ur fish! Water can make or break disease and further stress related conditions. Test ur water and keep changing it every few days, whens the last time u cleaned it or vaced?

i would stop to mix so much meds into the water. It can do more harm than help. You should first try to find out what your fish have and then use the righ medication. Bombing the fish with meds creates resiliant super bugs...

All the symptoms are classic columnaris. But thanks Doctor Darius.

Read an interesting thread by rd, explained the use of epsom salt soaked with pellets in addition to antibiotics. The epsom salts apparently kill the parasites, if you see stringy white feces most likly intestoal parasites causing the hole in the head, would search for this thread for a complete explaination,

For the ducklips it is cureable, I have cured it several times in fh, best results daily 50% water changes, with metro and bifuran added to feed (need to treat infection internally) add the metro+ to the water for the columaris, combined with raised temps. This treatment should cure both the hole in the head and the ducklips.

Sorry just read my post typo for the dl lower dont raise temp 74, once swelling is gone, raise the temp for hastended healing of columaris

You must catch the symptoms for duck lips early or it will be almost impossable to,heal without antibiotic injections, easily done on larger fish

Thank you all for your answers. i didnt do all the remedies all at once. i dont think i made it very clear. the medications and treatments i mentioned had been tried over a period of time. ive been batteling this for a while. as for the antibiotic i will give it a try...i even had some in my hands yesterday and didnt get it. it was pretty cheap too. I really dont think its worms and i never said they had hole in the head. they dont have it. the scales symptom is not hole in the head. i dont even know how to describe the skin issue. a picture will have to be the only way and hopefully i dont have to take one cause that would mean epic fail on my part. where do i buy bifuran?

Lfs, it turns the water very yellow I like it better in the feed, extra high doses of metro+ if you get it because it isnt very water soluable. Columaris is caused by intestonal parasites and a symtom is hole in the head, if you dont think thats it possibly bactirial or fungal.
