I'm back and need to vent...

So for starters I went on vacation to islamorada ( spelling ) from saturday to saturday. I wrote down how much to feed,what to feed, and when to feed... Well Knowing this was gona go wrong I gave her the schedule and said Please dont kill my fish or my dogs... I cought alota snapper,grunt,pinfish, and a couple sharks the beds sucked i got maybe 10 hours of sleep pver a 7 day period but none the less I had fun and got a tan. the day before we left I got a phone call from the girl who was watching my fish, she said that my flowerhorns ate a small one ( which isent to bad maybe just got to agro and got beat up.) anywho I was like ok thats fine just take the dead body out of the water and that was done. I come home today to find that 6 of my baby indos ( split bar, and 3 wide bar) dead... 3 Pbass missing from my tank ( that tank also has ick..) I cant find my 4" royal pleco or my 3 4" clown loaches... the 360 outside lost power and has about half a tank full of water... :irked: :irked: :nilly:

I lost about 300$ worth of fish and now I have to go out and buy another heater for my tank that has ick and pray to god I dont loose my jag or jur...

really though how hard is it to call me and say your fish are getting spots and are dieing.... I dont understand how some one cant follow a freaking list on how to feed a fish...

sorry just have to vent.
 
Alot of people not in the hobby think "it's only fish" At any rate sorry to hear it.
 
egh......... It sucks, I come home from a peacful vacation and BAM!!
 
i know how you feel... every time i'm gone and i ask my mom or my grandma to watch my fisha nd feed them once a day and call if there is a prob.. i come home and either a fish had died, one of the tank has some kind of disease, or they overfeed and you wouldnt be able to see your hand if you pressed it on the inside of the glass

I'm done for the time being... I'm gona start selling off the fish in my room when the ich is gone than I will sell the tanks.

While i was in miami I saw 2 breeding pairs of Pbass that wouldent bite anything I tossed at them and than I almost cought a 14" male Pbass that hit my lure and missed the hook and the other was swimming by while i was standing in the water.

But Yea, My fish will be up for sale in a week or so.
 
I already know that the cost of an extended vacation is paid for in dead fish...but only one week? Sheesh. I have tons of 300 watt and 150 watt heaters if you havent already bought one.
 
What I would like is if some one in florida could hold a couple ( 30 small fish ) for me untill I can get my display system in my room setup. But I dont think that is possible lol
