The cichla in Australia seem to be fast developers. Your monos are already getting large humps and so have bassrutten's. You must be getting them from the same supplier
 
Well here is a little update guys. The Bass are going great guns and it looks as if they ate fast developers here in Australia as I woke up the other day to find this.

The eggs have hatched and I do have free swimmers but I don't know how long they will last in the community tank.
Although Mum and Dad are doing a great job in protecting them.

I like the one in the last pic without the stripes he has a unique pattern.
