yea it does..well im not trying to sound cocky..but ive been told by marine biologist that my knowledge is at a higher level then some people that they work with at the local aquarium...

i know the feeling. working at petco i suppose they dont expect alot, but i get compliments all the time and even people who call for my advice.
You probably kill it $ wise. I hear WalMart pays well and has a great benefits package. Youre single handedly making that tropical fish department reputable. Big ups to you homie!!!

I did at my old job..the boss ended up doing like an employee of the month thing, and i did pretty good. But its not really about the money cause i get payed 7.40 an hour were..i was getting payed almost triple that at my old job working in construction and i quit...i just like fish and people...and thanks for the props man!!!

That has happened to me before..but i know the manager at my Petco, and he doesnt really care..lol...

Not gonna lie i BS on somethings but its mainly just to satisfy the customer, or get the one's that aren't gonna listen to you no matter wat gone..lol
Well, unlike some of the responses here, I say congratulations!
I hope that you continue to learn and gently, helpfully pass on that learning to the customers you help. One of the greatest boons to our hobby is when someone who knows what they are doing can help out a begining hobbiest so that they can avoid the disenheartenig, and expensive, pitfalls that can discourage the beginners.
