If you have access to a lot of non working freezers than just remove the tops and use them as nice sized indoor ponds.

They are made out of sheet metal. :screwy: And we know they have a plastic liner in them.

Thanks for tall the input guys. Perhaps you are right in that leaving the chest freezer as is would be the best for structural integrity. From everything I've read, goldies are bred from viewing from above anyhow, so perhaps that will be the best way to do it.

We'll see how things go. This project is still at least three months away, because I have to move first. :)
