It would be great if we could know the ages of the posters along with their dream tank. I've always been amazed how our dreams change with age.

...................................
I don't know how big of a tank I want. I know it would be an entire wall; probably 25' or so. Half wall height sitting on a stand and probably 2' from the ceiling. Black background, beige colored sand. Probably some fair sized white tip reef sharks for the lower area and bright colored tangs, clowns, triggers, etc. for the uppers.........
I'm 32 btw. Maybe 15 years ago, I'd have said 150,000g with a great white; just for comparisons.

you cant keep a great white shark at 150,000G tank, its too small, they are oceanic fish, require a lot of oxygen ^^

Probably 15mil G tank will do for an adult ^^

im 22

Fishes33 - I am pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Anyways, I have a few different dream tanks / ponds. The first being a 30,000 gallon pond / lagoon for Lemon Sharks. The 2nd being a smaller 10,000 gallon pond / lagoon for Smoothhounds, Leopards, Cali Horns, and Bat Rays. And the final system being a 50,000 with a reef center peice with a mixture of marine fish, Rays, Eels, topped off with some Blacktip & Whitetip Reef Sharks, and possible a Zebra Shark.

Awww dreams are fun lol

Just put glass up round the amazon and I'll be happy.

Seriously, I have two, a pond and a tank;

My dream tank is a 14x3x3 with a nice dark stain wooden canbinet (2.5ft tall) with a high hood (3ft) on it making a wall unit (total hight 8.5 ft with 9ft ceilings). A massive W/D sump which filters it perfectly. Black background and gravel with nice pieces of drift wood, mangrove looking.
For stocking I would add, 7 Jardini (since this is dream, they get along), a school of Silver Dollar (10-15 of them), 10 or so Clown Loaches and an Aussie Lungfish (which will later go into a tropical pond, 15x6x4).

My dream tropical pond would be 15x6x4 with one 15ft side being made out of 3, 5ft glass section so viewing is improve, not just from above. Having several ponds above the main pond which are smaller with small fish and well planted, ranging from 2x2x2 to 5x3x2, about 6 ponds in total. The smaller ponds would contain Tetras, Angelfish and other small community fish and it the largest of the little ponds there would be 4 Oscars. The biggest pond would contain 1 Aussie lungfish, a School of 10 Leichardti (again, all get along) and thats all I have though of so far.

I am under pressure from my dad to build the pond, but it will be expensive (he will pay half, plus we can do all the work and get material (except glass) cheap, still exspensice though and I have to stock it though). I have the choice between the two and will only have the money this year to pay for one, since I still live with my parents and am saving for a house as well I think I will go with the one that can be moved. But the tank won't be able to be built until early next year, where as my Dad would start the pond today. Decisions, decisions.

the ocean

naw ,
flodding my basement will do just fine.

Mine would actually be two set ups. One set up would be a simple box that's set in the lobby of my house, the centerpiece that is 20'x20'x6' tall with steps leading up to it from all sides. It would be stocked with a pair of umbees, dovi pair, red terror pair, red tiger mota pair, Nic jaguar pair, black nasty pair, trimac pair, red devil pair, midas pair, red dovi pair, and a ton of neets and convicts.

The second tank would replicate a public aquarium walkway exibit where you go through the center of the tank. This would be leading to my bed room, an entire 150 feet long. It would be 10 feet high with a space over the top that's 3' of water for the fish to swim to each side. Each side would be 20' wide. So that's roughly a 150'X40'X14' tank. It would be stocked with 50 dorados, several shoals of piranhas and rhoms, over 200 p bass of each species, two gigas, 4 aba aba knife fish, 100 arowanas, tons of neets, nics, gts, jds, silver dollars, lots of smaller tetras. Basically thousands of fishies. XD with a few giants, lol.

But that's about it . . . and I'm 19, lol.
