how big and how old are they? What size tank? sorry about all the ?'s, im trying to breed some myself.

The tank is 280 gal and the bass are 16-17 inches and maybe three years old. Good luck with your pair.

An LFS will probably give you next to nothing for them. Most sellers on here have them for $15, and they have to buy them for significantly less in order to make a modest profit.

Thanks!

Awesome peacock bass and fry!

Be sure to shop around, if possible, to see who will give you the best price and will care for them the best. Big chain LFS stores will probably not take them, but local ones probably will.

I know that I previously said that an LFS will probably give you next to nothing for the fry, but it's still worth giving it a try. They could surprise you and give you a decent price.

When the goldfish in my goldfish pond had babies, I sold them to a local LFS. I expected to get maybe the same price as they sold feeders for, but I actually got much more than that! They gave me the price that they paid for them from their supplier, so I left the store with at least twice as much cash as I had expected.

In the end, it usually doesn't hurt to ask, so you may as well give it a try.

I will certainly shop around. Thanks again!
