IM FREAKING OUT!!

Where the gators are
i just took out my RTC to get his current messurement (as i do every week) but this time he flopped out of the container he was in and then hit a tile floor! hes 7 inches and fell no more than 4 feet. sould he be alright is there anything i can do? just put some stress zyme in the tank thought that would help. what should i do? Please help, thanks
 
He is probably fine. I would leave him alone for a day or two. If he is in a part of your home that has a lot of activity I would put a blanket over the tank and turn the light off, he is likely pretty shook up.

alright thanks. i just turned the light off and the second after that he came out and is diggin in the rocks lookin for food:D. tough little guy. hes my baby i just kinda panicked about him gettin too hurt
 
They are really pliable at that size and can handle an impact if they have to.
 
My Silver Arowana fell 5+feet about 3-4 times when he was 5''. Your RTC Should be fine :)
 
I wouldn't take him out to measure him anymore.

i couldnt handle that. that would be to stressful for me, but thats good to know in an ironic way.

yeah i think ur right.
 
RTCs are very tough and rugged fish. I'm not surprised at all that he was out looking for food so quickly. I often wonder if food is the only thing they ever have on their mind.

haha yeah i think it is. if hes not guarding his log hes diggin in the rocks lookin for food.
