IM FREAKING OUT!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
RTCs are beasts, so unless he loses his appetite or has some behavioral changes, I wouldn't worry about it. All RTCs, especially young growing RTCs, care about is eating. I wouldn't be surprised if he picked up some crumbs off your tile floor while he was down there.

Yeah i would take the fish out just to measure it. If you want to get a measurement then use a plastic ruler and hold it up to the tank. Although it may not be exact it will be a lot less stress full on the fish. Your RTC should be fine. I have seen other fish jump from future than that an live to swim another day.

i just took out my RTC to get his current messurement (as i do every week) but this time he flopped out of the container he was in and then hit a tile floor! hes 7 inches and fell no more than 4 feet. sould he be alright is there anything i can do? just put some stress zyme in the tank thought that would help. what should i do? Please help, thanks
I used to work in a pet shop and I sold many fish when I was there, and I can tell you for sure that it never passed one day with out some one dropping one fish on the floor and they never died, so I think yours will do fine :D. Just try to do less messuring on the fish, to much stress for nothing.

I would add Stress Coat in case there has been any damage to the slime coat.

He'll be fine. RTC are hardy as hell anyway IMO
