you dont really need to do anything

sea salt isnt going to affect your fish in anyways, especially in such a tiny quantity

and after afew water changes you wont have a trace of sea salt

jsut drain it and fill it with freshwater, unless you wanna take a 300 out ot the front yard and hose it down

better get a heat pack ready :grinyes:

clean it... read some post before to use vinegar to take off the coral stains on it. and in my own opinion... fill it up with water and put some feeders... use them as experiment. if they go dead (considering right temp, water parameters) then clean the tank again. but logically... if you clean it really well and rinse it 3-5 times, fill it up for 2 days and drain and fill it up again i don't see any problem since the salinity will be very very low and any saltwater rocks wouldn't grow in fresh water ones. let's wait for some more expert opinion here. :naughty:

I would only need vinegar if I have stuborn salt deposits, anythig else a good rinse would do

and dont use feeders, thats a bad idea. its a great way to introduce disease if you would like that and feeders (assumnig its goldfish) shouldnt be used to cycle a tank for tropical fish.

and thats alot of steps considering its a 300 gallon tank. if its glass.....ha!..... good luck with that.

i would say that I couldn't care less ya bastid

I want good stuff for free and i never get it :nutkick:

congrats :swear:

300 gallon tank for free!, very nice, thats about a 2500 dollar outfit for free!, your very lucky! congrats.

just wipe it down with some paper towels and fill it up

fill it up enough that u get to aim the water all around the tank from the inside. then drain it, and fill it again , getting any spots you missed. drain it as much as you can this time.

refill
cycle
and ur done.
