I'm getting a camera inside my stomach.

Hey all, apparently I got either a developing stomach ulcer or just a full blown ulcer in my stomach, so my doctor told me I'm going to get a camera inserted into my stomach from my mouth to see what's going on inside.

I'm freaked out; any members got the procedure done already?

It's going to be this Monday.

And no, I'm not going to post pics, since they're going to sedate me.
 
ha ha dont worry.
it's a capsule camera used in laproscopy. nothing to worry and will come out anally after doing it's work. its the best method and non invasive[no holes in your body]. the alternative is to use laproscopy hole and it's camera by putting a hole in your stomach.
just go for it.
 
I don't think I have a choice either way.

I really do respect and like my doctor so if he told me to do something, I try to do the regiment he puts me on. Even if it's taking right now 10pills a day just to treat the darn ulcer.

Thank for the info also, def. helped me out. Tell you guys what happens on Monday after procedure hopefully.
 
They did this ten times for my mom with cameras on wires, then had her swallow the pill too. Doctors can't find their own buttholes and are best suited to prescribing worthless procedure after useless and dangerous pill, and we still have no idea what's wrong with Mom.

We've tried to help her fix her junk food habits (which are most likely the cause), and it helped for the month she stuck with it (she felt so much better!), but she's too far gone. She still thinks vegetables are the devil and can't get away from fast-food trans-fat suicide. Thanks, corporate America, for destroying two entire generations with obesity through convenient food substitutes.

Don't get your hopes up. Do stop eating poison out of boxes and bags and try eating actual food. That will fix most of what ails you. Truth.

Or it is just a little ulcer. Thankfully those are ridiculously simple to cure without any meds at all. Hope you feel better soon!
 
Thank you; i actually try to stay away from junk food, and eat vegetables on a regular basis and even now more so due to this ulcer.

I think for me it's genetics since my dad and mom have stomach problems as well. I'm just lucky that it was caught early, and I do think the meds are helping even though it's a pain in the but to swallow all those pills.

thank you sorry to hear about your mom, but she def. do need to eat her veggies.
 
sorry didn't get back sooner to you guys; procedure was done, confirmed two ulcers in the lower stomach area.

Had to go back in July for another screen; but that one should only take 15min.

and still on antibiotics and acid blockers.
 
amazing what they do now..but i would raher have this then the alternatives of the past.

thanks.. i think they would have needed to open you up and go in and look..i am glad you will be on the mend..
 
Way better than having your bladder checked! The window for camera entrance and viewing is much smaller than the mouth for most of us.....enough said!!!! Good luck on your treatment!! Alcohol is usually the biggest factor!! Dont drink!
