LOL...That's hardcore fishing, man! To think, my wife finds it hard just to bait a hook. I'd pay money to see her in combat boots, cutting off the heads of toothy fish! I live in North East Florida and as far as I am aware of, Snakeheads haven't been reported here. I know my fellow Floridians to the south get all the invasives living in their waters. They get to catch a bunch of Cichlids as well as other kinds of fish. I hope you catch a nice showpiece! Good luck.pjsmetana;4943226;4943226 said:Use a frog lure near the grassline. Something that moves/splashes on the surface a lot. In an area that you know they are living/breeding, they will bite it, and probably within 10 casts. They put up a heck of a fight! When you get one on deck/dock/shore be sure to have leather gloves on. They bite, even when hooked. I wear combat boots, step on them, then chop their heads off.

pjsmetana;4943216; said:Snakeheads are more hearty then Mayans and Peacocks. You catch a snakehead, you kill it. Them's the rules. Unless you want to keep it or eat it. Point is, do not let it back into the wild alive. They are not native and are killing all the other fish.
I AGREE THTS WHY I ASKED HAS HE EVER CAUGHT A SNAKE HEADdadecountyalan;4952424; said:snakeheads can withstand the cold more than the natvie fish. but this happens every year. once the summer comes pb population kicks back up. and i cant disagree with you more. i ALWAYS see peacocks coming into snakehead nest and absolutely mauling down the babies leaving the parents stunned. this snakehead reputation is so insanely overblown. theres only two types of snakeheads that are truly vicious and neither of them are anywhere near south florida
