Well after being off from school for two semesters. basically around 6 months, I can't wait to go back. I really really needed a break to think things over. It was all related back to work. I can't stand where I work, work WAY too hard for diddly squat money. That's not even the issue. Basically a few people including me work our butts off while mangement slacks around to sum it up easily.

I always told myself I could go to school and work full-time or alot of hours. Well after barely passing my whole 2 years in a community college, I'm done. I WILL not work like this and barely have enough for bills, not get treated like crap. I told my job I'm going part time starting June 1st. Will be going full time to college, hopefully a little more than 12 credit hours, but we will see.

COngrats!!!

Good to hear. Have fun!

Smart man, good thing you realized this while you are still young.
Some people don't realize how important education is, until they are 40 and stuck at some dead end job.

You have the rest of your life to work. School is only temporary. Get a good education in a well paying job, where you won't have to bust your butt. If you are smart, you will choose to major in a marketable field.

I know people who wasted 2-4 years with degrees in silly fields like Psychology, History, Journalism, Sociology, Marine Biology, Biology, etc.... Good luck finding a job with a degree like that, especially in this economy. Some of them are going back to school to get another degree, because they cannot find work.

I went into the medical field. It is essentially one of the only recession proof job markets out there right now. The money is good, plenty of work available including lots of overtime. However, the hours are long (12hr shifts), but it is rewarding.

Teaching is not a "high priority" job right now. Lots and lots of teachers are getting laid off.
Good luck to them with that psychology degree. Two of my female friends went for degrees in Psychology. One gave up after not being able to find employment, and went back to school to become a Pharmacist. She is currently in school, and it's a very grueling program. The other is still working her old job... bartender.

I tried to warn them, but it went in one ear and came out the other. Not saying I'm the smartest man out there, and to listen to me. If I was, I should probably be a millionaire by now, right?LOL
However, I have a skill for calling it like it is.

Silly fields? I don't think so. I totally disagree. They might not be as practical as your job, but their not silly. To each his own.
