OP, listen to your gut. I have gotten sick fish from very reputable sources. I have also been very surprised to learn that the guy at the WM by me who does the maintenance, does so twice weekly. IDK, maybe a fluke, but the fish alwas look good there. I wont buy there because WM is a corporate giant putting LFS out of business.....JK
Seriously, use your instincts and go for it. Quarantine them like you should anyway, with ANY fish from ANYWHERE!

Those just out of the ones I currently have. Have bought around 6 parrots from Walmart total (not all at once) and only one of them came with ick. Only kept 2 of the 6. So 1/6 fish I have bought from Walmart came with ick.

Compared to some fish Iv bought from Petsmart, Petco and other chain stores, I would consider it pretty good. Iv bought WM fish before with no ick.

I have only had a few petsmart fish die out of the 100+ I've purchased. And if you fish dies from there NO MATTER what they give you a refund.

I had to return a backbone because my cichlids didn't like their loach...

Hell you don't have to return the same kind of fish to get a refund.
