Yea I'll probably stick with soft corals and will be sure to space them properly, I think I can handle it now after reading on this forum and talking to a trustworthy LFS manager. I will also add the linckia starfish several months after the tank is cycled so as to have the proper *cant think of the right words*

I'd wait several years, not months, if at all. Extremely low rate of survival in captivity & many are lost, just to get 1 into a home tank.

Will an arrow crab attack a linckia starfish??? I keep finding my arrow crab (which has unfortunately gotten quite large) hovering over my new starfish. The ends of my star's legs are looking a little scraped. If it comes down to it, I'll ditch the crab to keep the star, but I'd like to know if this is common before I get rid of it. After all, the crab did a great job of eating some bristle worms that showed up in my tank about a year ago.

Any advice, please?

What's wrong with bristle worms they are one of the best clean up critters out there. The arrow crab probably isn't eating the star I've never heard of one doing that but, it doesn't mean it can't happen. Good luck with linkia if you have a sump it would probably do better in there as all it eats is bio-film.
