So, I've got a 35 gallon, 30''x16''x24'' and $125 to spend on it to make it perfect.
What should I do? I'm completely out of ideas. :nilly:
Sorry for going insane, but I just want some stocking ideas. :D

id plant it with a sand bottom and have a small african community with 1 senegal bichir, 1 palmas polli, and 1 palmas palmas, some african characins or cyprinids(congo tetras, maybe a shoal of something along the lines of barbus camptacanthus or barbus plueropholis), and maybe some preds like african leafish(ctenopoma aucsitre(sp?) are awesome), and possibly an african butterfly fish

Do you HONESTLY think that a bichir and africans will fit in a 35 Gallon tank? Not to mention the other fish you think? :screwy:

How active are they?
Theyre pretty neat looking.
Been considering a few different puffer species.

I was thinking of maybe getting the tank nice and planted, adding some guppies/tetras/mollies and have them breed a few times, then put a Ctenopoma in the tank and watch them dissapear.

Doesnt have to be agressive, but if it is, thats a plus.
Main things Im looking for are, Good Movement, Good Looking, or Odd Looking.

Just wish the tank was big enough for polys, I'd probably add a Senegal. :nilly:

Honestly, I fond them over-rated and over-hyped. (Like Pirahnas...)

I'm really diggin' the SA Leaf fish though. They remind me of odd colored dats. I think a Planted tank with them, and a big breeding shoal of tetras to provide a constant flow of feeders would be cool. What does well with them?

Any other suggestions? :)

Don't know if your still looking but how about 1-2 congo puffers they are FW but only thing is that they are ambush predators they get up to 8-15 cm so you might get away with 1 female 1 male or just one male just a suggestion.
