and then a few flakes later on
no snails , just a sand sifting star fish a hermit crab and a boxer shrimp
checked my phosphates last night and they were about 1.0(didnt realise i had a phosphates test kit)
well the best thing is to test for phosphates and nitrates, sand sifting starfish and hermit crabs will not touch algae ever a good thing is to add a snail for every gallon of water in your tank snails like abalone, cerith, trouchus, astrea. when you add your brine cube do you just throw it in the tank? if so the nutrients to keep the brine fresh also will bloom algae like crazy. A good thing to do is dissolve your frozen in a plastic container and add just the food and discard the water down the drink this should help cut back some of the nutrients feeding the algae and the snail's should keep it in check.
