i was a tad bit tipsy in that pic, lol. it was at a luau after a fifth of whiskey, that was about the 6th beer after lol. it was a good night. but anyway, ive always been told that bigger is better with salt, you have more leadway with mistakes, a small mistake in my 220 would destroy a 30 gal tank basically. and i dont want a nano tank, im really tired of seeing them :D lol. i guess whay my problem is are my devils, im scared they will destroy whatever i put with them. i really want rays, but thats an expensive mistake. what would be some good tankmates if i stay fresh?

I would give the saltwater a try. You are obviously wanting a challenge, so give it a try. If you are on a fixed income I would definately stay away from the saltwater though. Live rocks alone for that tank will probably cost 2k. Thats with nothing else added. If you are just going to have a non coral saltwater tank, then I wouldn't mess with it. GL

Filll it with PBASS!!!!:headbang2

I went through the same thing as you. For me it came down to economics. I wasn't willing to put thousands of dollars into the tank (a 125 gallon). Although, daily, I reconsider starting up the saltwater tank. I think what I'm going to do is just setup a 55 gallon for saltwater. This is a good way to dip your feet into the water without drowning. Even the 55Gallon tank will cost over 1K to get it started with no fish and coral. Lights for saltwater cost a friggin fortune as well. The simple truth is these things cost a fortune.

Its an addiction. PBASS are pure predators from bitrh. I am hoping to be able to buy a nice O' in the next cpl of weeks.

You don't think the midas will be aggressive towards the Pbass?
