He’s looks very healthy. But, no, this is not ideal at all. A 3 footer would even be quite cramped but better nonetheless. 4 foot is ideal.
hi bro im very sad bcs my flowerhorn died in the same tank bcs he outgrow the tank and my parents didnt let me have a 4 feet tank what should i do to convince them.

Maybe you can make a small presentation on powerpoint that explains why the flower horns need a larger tank. You can use the example of your previous fish dying to show what will happen to this one. Maybe they will be impressed by the initiative and let you upgrade.

If not, I would consider selling the fish and getting something that will be more comfortable in a smaller tank, maybe a Convict cichlid
