I gonna go away for 5 days what do I do abt feeding my fish (my fish are listed in my signature)?????

well....u might not have to worry bout the 30gal...seems like they will eat each other...lol. Do u have someone who can feed them for you? Set out the right amount of food, and schedual for feeding. I would feed them only once the whole time...feed them good before you leave...then two days later feed them again...so on the third day you are gone they will be fed. They should be able to survive offa that. Be a bit hungery when you get back but you should at least still have live fish to come back TOO!

i heard fish could go a lil while without eating in a healthy tank but i dont know how the juvies would do

that limas gunna get hungry

do big water change. and then throw alot of guppies in there

that should keep em busy

well I only feed my lima once a week anyways , thats all he will eat . He just eats so much at one time. Im more worried abt my P Bass , he is a pig:headbang2

guppies are too small . When I feed The Lima I throw in abt 40 rosie reds , he usually eats abt half in 10 minutes then the others take a few . I do that once a week on Wed. Then I feed pellets and frozen krill to the rest in that tank daily.

throw in a bunch of ghost shrimp they should last a while if you got caves and crevices

Feed them well before u leave but do not put feeder fishes in cos if they die they will rot and foul up the water.

Feed them well before you go for your trip....then put some livestock in to the tank...(eg. guppy, molly, etc).....and can be sure that all your fish would not have problem.

3 to 4 days of starving will not kill them....i use to starve my fish one or two days a week...during the starving, its good for the fish coz can clear all unwanted things from their stomach...

I've always fed my fish excessively 2-3 days prior to my trip, not feeding them while I was away. I've never had a problem. Fish can go a week or two without any serious consequences.

There are several automatic feeders out there. NutraMatic is battery powered and feeds i think 2x a day and Rondomatic is electrical and feeds up to 5x a day, it costs alot but it dispenses all kinds of stuff from flakes to medicine. The NutraMatic costs, I think around $15. It looks like a slide show carousel.
:-) Maybe on your trip you can pick one up (-:
