My pool is still set up, unfortunately I was out of my house due to me getting a divorce. My pool was severely neglected. I lost my arowana and an Oscar. I got the filters all running again and added stress zyme and sludge destroyer. Now I constantly have to skim the oils off the surface. It could have been much worse but its getting better.

Keep up at removng the protein film. It will eventually stop forming. Good surface movement/oxygenation will also help the bacteria break it down.

Pool is no more. Ex wife murdered everything with bleach. I contacted authorities and reached out to the humane society. Hopefully they will press charges.
Well I began filling up the pool. Put lots of declor in it. Put some goldfish in it, I'll see what happens the next few days. Probably won't get any expensive fish until I move to a new house but at least I think I saved my equipment.
