so after reading alot of stuff on the internet. im planning on buying a 200 gallon aquarium from a local fish store 7x2x2 for 350 tank with lids but no stands. what is a good filter, i told the guy to don't drill holes and i want 1 arowana and 1 peacock bass with no gravel and stuff. i already have a planted tank 75 gal so this will be a big step, help me out please!

Howdy and welcome,

I am a canister guy, thus, I recommend an Eheim 2262 for that size tank. No other canister is comparable regarding the combination of biological and mechanical filtration. You will get replies stating that w/d is the only way to go, but that's BS :D

Have fun,

Amazing. Nobody opposes a canister suggestion. I put on my flame suit for nothing?

:D

He said he didn't want his tank drilled. I personally would go with a W/D, but that is one fine canister.

You can't beat a sump for bio, but If you don't want one, then a big canister or 2 is your best bet.
