Short answer: NO!

It's a great mech filter (FX5 and 2262 have roughly identical flow rates) but it's lightyears away from the 2262 with regard to biofiltration...

Ok going against everyone and saying go for a DIY wet/dry for sure. How can you beat a filter built for your exact system that can also hide your heaters etc and costs you less than the cheapest crappiest canister filter on the market!

if I bought a tank that came with a canister...I would sell it and use the money to build a better wet/dry

but to each his own
