Too bad the Portland club is not a cichlid club. Mostly community fish keepers. Same with Seattle As far as I know there aren't any dedicated cichlid clubs in the Western US.

Word on the street is the Greater Portland Aquarium Society isn't willing to do all the organizing that goes in to it. That's not at all confirmed though, just rumors.

For those people who are not use to my posting, my comment was tongue in check. A lot of work goes into these programs, but anything worthwhile is a lot of work, plus once you have done it, you have all the information to try and host it again.
