the lfs i got it from had it with guppies so they can eat anytime they want

so they ate live fish and im not sure if thos fish had any disease or parasites and i didnt give em any medications yet because i heard theyre allergic to malachite green i think

they are very active but they seem to stop eating
they used to love shrimp now they ignore it

parameters are the same i just tested my water

are they sick or do they have parasites or am i just freaking out?

Hi.

I dont think they're sick.

I suggest do a partial water change of about 30% of the water and try feeding the next day, you'll see how they dart toward food....

If it is this, stick to a water change routine of 20-30% every 10 days and you'll have your P's in better cond.

And don't overfeed them I feed mine every now and then and with different stuff, white fish, squid, shrimps and once a month chicken breast or once a month beefheart.

Cheers.

yeah typically flat worm infestation means that they eat and eat and still lose weight. The reason for that is that the tapeworms in the intestine absorb the nutrients rather than your fish. I don't think lack of appetite is a sign of worm infestation. I still wouldn't feed trash like feeder guppies or comets though.

i really think they need meds and i just dont want to use stuff that may harm them

did the 30% pwc every 2 days but it has no effect
only thing is now theyre biting the food but they spit it out right away
what could this be?

How long have they been doing this for?, I mean when P's are overfed, it is not rare to see them loosing their apetite even for a week, so just keep an eye closely.

about a week now and ive been doing 25-30% wc every day since i noticed

if its only been a week, i wouldn't worry.... unless you see other warning signs, i wouldn't even consider dumping meds into the tank and if your water params are good, there is no reason to be changing your water anymore than usual, you are probably just stressing them out even more. i would just give em time and keep trying to feed them, they should come around.

 Hold your horses cowboy!!!!:nilly: I told you to do a 30% water change every 10 days not daily for god's sake!!!!.:screwy:

Those daily water changes are doing nothing but stressing your P's therefore they are not eating....

Do what you are told to do and try not to add wrong ideas to what you are told. :irked:
