I'm overstocked, who should go?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would keep the leaf fish. That is one of my favourite fish. Who cares where it comes from? Ive got one with severums, raphael cats, tandanus cats, berneys cats, clown loaches, paki loaches, zebra loaches, peacock eel, ghost knives, elephant nose, pictus and a couple others.
It works very well.

It has NO black or grey on its body at all, it has the black outline on it's fins. Are you talking about grey spots on their body? Here is a pic of him about a month ago when it was in my 90:

Yeah, yours looks good, right now; the two albinos I used to have looked like yours at that age, but then developed coloration similar to these, as they got older:

Get rid of the listed and keep the 2 Oscars or get a bigger tank ...

I like that attitude! "who cares where it comes from", seriously, some people get really hung up on where things are from, which I guess I can see why in some cases. But when you just have fish cuz they're awesome, who cares? Has your elephant nose ever jolted any of your fish? I had one a few years ago that electrocuted and killed a few.

He is a bit fiesty compared to others I have owned previously. But no issues with him jolting any other fish as far as I can tell.

I can also understand wanting a "theme" to the tank in some cases, but when there are so many awesome fish and so little space(as in space to put more tanks), if they get along and there are no problems its a good thing.

Agreed. And by putting a theme, you just limit yourself! Not fun!

I haven't read all this and don't want to quite frankly after the first page --- you're saying your tank is over-stocked, but you're wanting to make it a popularity contest. Who's to say people don't vote on you removing the fish that has the least impact on your bioload and you're still overstocked and kill all your 'popular' fish? If someone else has already said something similar, sorry for the rant.

Welcome to MFK! I see you're new here! Perhaps you should have continued reading. It has been decided that the tank isn't technically overstocked, just more stocked than I want it to be. The bioload is very healthy as is. Had the conversation not gone the way it did, you would have raised a very good point. Thank you.
