thanks guys! will keep you guys updated! :D

...in the mean time, i'm on the search for one or two more, so he'll have a buddy & a little more competition for food. With a tiger oscar cichlid, I have to feed it til it's satisfied first (with pellets), before feeding the tat. If I try and toss in live food first, the cichlid always takes a bite first :irked: I been thinking.. it might be time for the cichlid to find a new home!

Congrats on the tat. I hope you paid scomb price for him! Good score. FYI, don't ID them by swimming angle. It is completely irrelevant. You could look at three different armatus and they could all have different swimming angles. Same goes for tats, and scombs. The sticky needs to be modified, because that is inaccurate.
Also, if you are going to get more, get at least 2 more. I've found that three spreads out aggression, as they like to nip at each other. A pair will constantly fight for dominance. Not a good thing, since they can do big damage very quickly.

Just getting back to your question...If you look and compare the three fish, tats, scombs and armatus the tat is the one that has a gold tint or sheen to it's body where the other two will be mostly silvery.
