africans are a cool idea, you could have a bunch in a 55

you could do a random mix of africans that get to around 6", a pair or trio of smaller synodontis cats, and maybe a peacock or zig zag eel

All oscar get the same size but for your situation I don't recommend one. What about some piranha?

I live in FL I think you go to jail
for having them. And I like Africans but then I have to redo my whole tank and I like live plants and want to plant it. What kind of Africans could I get the more the better but I don't want them too small.

You need to get your snowflake eel out asap and get it to a new home. That is a saltwater species and will not survive in freshwater. and please learn to research before buying fish.

Blue Acei cichlids. I love mine. They get about 6 inches, mine is about 7. Also electric yellows and peacocks are all nice.

and will not survive in freshwater.

Wrong. It will survive. Just not for long. It could live in freshwater for months or even years.

Forgot they were illegal in Florida. Sure you don't want this?

Lets not start this up again. Both points have been made, lets just let it be.

I'm just saying it will live in freshwater for awhile. I do agree it will die way earlier though. It should be re-homed, I just wanted to specify that it wouldn't die immediately.

It really just sounds like you are doing too many impulse buys.. and not doing your research...

All these fish dying, seems like there is something you aren't doing correctly..

What are your water parameters, and I don't mean "perfect" I am talking actual numbers. What is your maintenance routine?

Something is going on in your tank....

Or the LFS he buys from doesn't take care of them.
