Im sad but happy...

You could also look into painting your roof with a reflective paint.. (obv if you don't have shingles lol)

Maybe you can get away with building a window on your roof, and then when you run the fan, the heat would be forced out.

Trust me, I know how it is with water temps.. I have 15 tanks and a large 1500 gallon tank in my basement with no windows or ventilation. It's HOT!

I took the jardini, the biggest clown knife, and the peacock bass today. The sad part was that right after we put the bass in there, one of the big tiger shovelnoses came and swallowed him whole. That was about a 30" fish eating about a 15" fish. It happens I guess. :(

Okay so Im about done taking fish. I have taken 15 fish total. The list is...

2 rtc x tsn hybrids
1 tsn
1 silver arowana
1 jardini arowana
6 red bellied pacu
1 oscar
1 niger cat
1 clown knife
1 peacock bass (got eaten right away by a tsn :( )

My 700 looks empty. But there is no greater satisfaction than watching your catfish swim back and forth with all the room. They seem to love it so I feel good about taking them. :)

Good for you. I had one last suggestion, even though it may be a little late....They make those portable air conditioners that only require a hose to stick out of the window. Two of those would keep a normal sized garage in the 70s with insulated doors. Just something to think about if you decide to keep the tanks going with some smaller fish.

Good on you man! When you get a chance, take a pic of their new home.

We are getting a Bass Pro Shop down here in deep south Texas, Harlingen. I can't wait to see the tank they will set up.

Yeah I have thought about those, the only thing is the grage is not insulated with the metal doors. I would have to build onto them and insulated them. I may in the future but Im gonna hold off for now.

Im going to go get a video in a few days of all of them in their new home. Its funny cause that tank is basically "my tank" now cause majority of the fish in there were mine. lol
