When I get my mum to take me to the LFS, whatever fish I brought, I put in the glove box. Its dark, quite warm, shock is absorbed through various papers and I don't have to worry about holding the fish. So long as the fish has enough water to cover them, they'll live. What you need is lots of O2.
Big bags with little water and LOTS OF AIR is important... air is more important then water when in bag for a limited time
My LFS I rely on soley for fish is only 4 minutes away and is over 10k sq. ft. I guess I have it good. 
No need for speeding only unless they get behind me then I'm gone...that's only on the CBR though the 4 cyl in my s-10 is no race car, but the jet kit in the bike sure gets it done. Some pics of my rides sorry to whore.
