I'm think of starting an aquarium

Dude you really need to start posting in an aquaria specific forum and not the lounge. The Lounge is for all non-aquaria threads. If you don't know just post in the General Aquaria forum they will be more helpful.

Get what you can afford. or get the biggest you can fit in your house and buy equip piece by peice takes longer but you get a bigger tank.

i would suggest u get the biggest u can afford and get . most always start with a 10g but u will soon find the hobby is addicting and u will get to know more and more fish that u will want and realize u need a bigger tank. Did u have any fish in mind?

what do you intend on keeping, that will help decide if need a huge tank or you can go with something more modest

The advice everyone has given you is perfect. I wish that I was told that I'd be an addict trying to get bigger tanks every year. Go as big as you can right from the get go and you wont be sorry.

i really enjoy my 55 saltwater tank. but freshwater is sooo much easier to maintain for a new person to the hobby. i would start with a 55 and go from there. and get a nice fish like a black ghost knife or some cichlids. or do whatever you want if you can handle it. just my thoughts

start off by researching fish, try to get a feel for what u like , cichlids, community, livebearers, oddballs, start by there. do some reading on the requirements for all the fish so u get an idea what u will need to provide tank size wise and tank mates. its easy to say you love ghost knives for example but maybe u really cant and dont intend to get a HUGE tank. Just gotta research research research ;)
