I'm sitting here, looking at all my tanks surrounding me and i still want more. It drives me crazy, and the trip to the aquarium didn't help any, lol. I currently have 3 tanks running, 220 ca/sa, 30salt, 20gal P growout, also I have an empty 75 and 5gal.

I've been getting more and more into marine and I kinda want to make all but one of my tanks salt. So heres the question. Which tank should stay fresh? This is just to give me a hand in deciding. If I choose to make the 220 into marine, I'll have to buy another big tank, lol. So maybe I'll just buy another 220? :nilly: See my problem, lol, I don't know what to do.

Resist, stay with fresh..saltwater is a bottomless pit of money and time lol. I used to run three marine tanks and I'm so much happier with all freshwater (much as I miss my stone/scorpionfish).

Or, go crazy and have a monster marine 220!

They're cool, don't get me wrong, just make sure you take into account the cost and time need to run that many marine tanks. I used to go through a 200 gal bucket of salt almost every month. Maintenance takes way longer too, with salt mixing and all the chemistry.

Most MFK'ers here keep FW of course, I would think most will say don't use the 220 for salt by any means. lol I am one of these people.

:D I know this, lol. Thats why theres a Buy another vote up there, lol.

I like the idea of a salt 220...just don't do it half-assed, which for some reason seems to be the way "monster-fish" FW people do marine...

i say you stick with mainly fresh but also get some more salt, not to far into fresh not to far into salt, right in the middle
