May not be a good diet but here is what I have seen my ropefish eat since I got him 4 months ago.
Beefheart
Cooked Ground Beef
Earthworms
Cooked shrimp
Maybe getting some treats this weekend.
Or ordering another poly.

Good luck with it. Never had ropes. They seem really cool but the eating thing has always scared me off.
