Hello mfk. Im new to this site and im sure ill get plenty of feed back on any question i may have in the future but for now let me tell you what I have in my little 55gal. I have male trimac thats about 10" and it's the boss of the tank. Next on the list I have the red devil , I don't know for sure what sex it is but I think it's a male and this fish is about 8" with a few white spots. Last on the list is the umbee and this one is the smalest out of the bunch at about 6" and I think this one is female. I have the tank set up with 3 territories and that helps keep the fighting down....A little. I used a flower pot , lots of rocks , bog wood and tree roots to make up the territories. For filtration im using an emperor 400 and I have aquaclear 30 powerhead on the other side of the tank. I do water changes once a week and every other week I do the gravel sweep. I try to stay away from feeders but when the aggression level goes up I'll throw in some craw fish and minnows but for now thier diet consist of hikari cichlid gold pellets, frozen bloodworms and krill. Oh and i keep the tank temp. between 78 and 80 deg. I'll try and get some pics up in the future.

little 55g.... BIG aggressive trio in there, I can see a troublesome future ahead for you and the fishys.

Hey Slick. Welcome to MFK. One thing you will learn about this place is everyone loves pics. So, bring em on.
Sounds like you have a few bruisers in there. One thing to think about: It has been said that if you get it into their little fishy brains that it is ok to hunt living things, they could actually become more agressive. If you keep the feeders away, it may calm them down a little. Those can be some mean fish anyway, so a little extra footprint would definatly help out, too.
Good luck with those bad boys and I look foward to seeing your pics.:headbang2

That is a lot of fish for a tank that size.

I think stereotypically is all one word. But I agree with the rest. Welcome to MFK!!!

Thanks for the welcome and the advise. Im planning on moving up to atleast a 125 gal. but thats gonna be after the first of the year. Ill be posting some questions about filtration systems because I have never worked with canister or wet/dry filtration.
