Import racing isn't just about FWD.
Very true, but its current form has a lot of FWD drags. The original "import" drags were air-cooled VW drags. They're still very popular given the combination of RWD/rear engine weight distribution, light weight, huge aftermarket parts market, and continuing advancements in both VW Type I and Type IV engines.

I don't know bout you but seeing some of those FF NA imports hitting 10s is impressive to me. Having said that, am more into Skylines then anything else.

I like imports and domestics...lol
just depends.
not much for drag. I prefere Auto Cross and Road Racing...

I agree. Drag is cool but... the better you get, the faster its over. It is easier to get into though. Most road tracks have some pretty crazy member fees. I wish I could afford autobahn cc.

I'm into drag racing and although I have a FWD I prefer domestic RWD.

Don't get a membership with a track. get a membership with a club.
Then attend open track days, for much cheaper rates.... or for a decent price, skip both and pay a little bit more and attend the open days...

That would be nice, but I need to get another car first. I have a few friends who are members at the track. Lucky batards go racing every week it seems. I have seen some clubs up there (I think the last one I seen was the audi club).
Do you race there?

I like RWD imports or things that you have a hard time getting in the US. I've given up on the R33/34 and switched to looking for a good Silvia. I hope to get one in the next 6 months or so.

I have done the drag thing in the past with my over powered V8 fox body Mustangs, but as of about three years ago gone toward corner carving with a Eaton M112 supercharged V6 Mustang that sticks to a corner just as well as any AWD car.

I have to admit that seeing what some of these FWD cars can do is imporessive. But straight lines aren't my thing.
