My O came down with the early signs of H-in-H a few weeks ago.
I had recently added a new fish to the tank, so i did what i have always done when dealing with hith, raise temp, salt, melafix, 50% water changes twice a week, vitamin supplement for food.
After two weeks nothing had worked, in fact the condition had grown much worse. I removed the other fish from the tank, and continued and it continued to worsen.
Last week i went out and bought that jungle product for Hole in Head.
I've been using it, and it has not seemed to work also.
Through this whole time my fish has become progressively more hurt, till now there is little life left i feel, just stays at the bottom, and has not eaten in days, his color is extremely faded. in my filter i only have the sponge and bio-rocks, temp has been raised to 82 degrees.
I don't even want to show a picture because of how bad it has gotten.

I need some help fast. the spread this disease is progressing and i fear losing my favorite fish..
please help, what should/can i do more.
does anybody know what is going on or have some ideas.

thanks in advance

metronidazole is the best with epsom salts.
its a seachem product and its nearly impossible to overdose with as well.
worked for my oscar who i was sure was gonna die.

How big is your tank? How much filtration do you have?

best way to treat it ime, is to have clean water. I bought a female parrot fish (hopla real parrot ) who had a serious case of hith. I put it into my 360gallon which has 7x turnover rate and a steady temp of 85 and it cleared up within the week. Just make sure you have a good fileration system and it should clear up.

its not about cureing it its preventing it keep the water as clean as you can large water changes help alot and don't give it feeder fish a good pellet as a food source is much better
