I did not mean to insult your intelligence. Reading your suggestion to "shorten the standpipe" left me with more questions, than answers. My original question of increasing the standpipe size would serve any benefit - it was a question not a fact. It's OK, if you don't know the answer, and, not everyone knows everything. Perhaps you are confused based on my insufficient description - that's ok too. Good luck to you.
Improving Drain flow and Lowering Tank Water Level?

I'm not insulted by any means, I know how to manipulate my water levels cause I've done it to every tank I have water in.
Sounds like you just need to experiment, that's what I do when I question something.
I am a little confused cause I don't run full siphon overflows, just plain ol gravity drains. IF it doesn't flow what I want I cut till it does - no problems, no confusion.
I must not understand herbie overflows cause I thought water traveled down more then 1 drain.....
