Thanks for the input. I hope it's a male.

Well I put the pixie in it's new tank about a 1/2 hour ago and it went to the one corner and dug a little fox hole. I just checked on it 5 minutes ago and it was out of the hole checking out the rest of the tank. I threw in a few more cricket and it took those out too. Hungry little guy!

Here is my girl when I got her.

Sorry about the horrible pics, it was three years ago, just got a camera, didn't know how to use the macro setting yet.

That was the "cage" I had for her while I was setting up a 10 gallon.

That is a guaranteed female in my pics. Compare the size of her head, with the size of yours.

This is her now. (She was blinking, which is why her eye looks weird.) Note how she still has orange under her arms.

Yeah I just read that the males usually have yellow throats and the females have white/cream colored throats.

Mine looks like it has a bigger head than your female's baby pics.

That is the best way to tell. Because my female is goofy. She has the orange/yellow throat, and large ear spots. The males will always have the bigger head/mouth when compared to the rest of their body.

Best forum out their for Pyxie's, by far. TON of info. You will not need to look anywhere else for info.

Mad About Cichlids is a moderator there, he knows a ton about them as well.

Oh yea, hit it up with the nightcrawlers as well. They love them.
