impulse buy

Everytime I go to my lfs I almost buy 2 or 3 things besides my intentions. Takes me walking around and looking at everything a little longer to realize I really shouldn't. Today was horrible.. 20 dollar pbass, foot long jardini/fire eel/pikes, full grown daemon/altifrons, pitch black saggitae, everything.

Couple years ago I bought my Giraffe Cat from another place in Austin where they told me it would only get a little over a foot long.. Impulse/not enough research I guess..

I have been lucky since I started back fish keeping last year. But before that when I first started around age 10 I got 4 red belly pacu to keep in my 55 with my tiger barbs.. You know the outcome lol

I also got an Australian aro for my 55 at that age it ate all my cichlids/ oddballs then died. Live and learn.

My O.. after already investing in 3 fire eels.. there are a few big tanks in my future to say the least.. and my 2 senegel Bichirs, and a TT eel. I don't regret any of these impulse buys... But least to say I haven't made anymore since. And won't for awhile. granted all my impulse buys I had knowledge in what I was signing up for. and least to say every spare penny is going into a saveing account for the not so impulse buying of tanks.

my only impulse fish buy was very much plotted :P i bought an oscar for a 30g tank we had laying around to get myself back in the hobby when i was 15

small gator gar. I figured it would be something fun to grow out, it almost killed my baby black aro and tripled in size in about a month, no lie...
