Well I know the Pbass have a faster growth rate, but they are the same length as the pike right now...and they're pretty afraid of him. He ran the show within 24 hours of being introduced and took over the prime territory. I figure they'll be 16" by the time he's 12" based on the growth data I've seen, and if they can swallow a fish 3/4 their length....then hell, I'd pay the price of admission to see it and hope that I can get it recorded...lol...
 
Out of curiosity...how are Lenticulatas with each other? I was offered a trade...a 6" Lenticulata for the 8" mono Pbass and $40 (a pretty good deal I think)...I've got juvi Orinos (2.5") so I wasn't planning on keeping the Monos anyway, too much of a bio-load.Obviously I can't sex mine or the one I might acquire, so what kind of war am I looking at?
 
Thats an awesome pike cichlid. I tend to stay away from them before i get dragged under like peanut.

it depends because you have the tank size for them to stay away from each other, i would go for it and add a pvc pipe or two to give them hiding spaces!!:popcorn: :nilly: :headbang2
 
Hmm...I hate pvc...just move the driftwood around I guess, if I go for this.


Edit: The LFS also has a Marmorata and two Tapajos Reds...never seen this kind of stuff in an LFS, but he's a pike nut.
