Impulse Buys: SURPRISES?

ive impulse bought, but never anything i had no knowledge of.

I've bought a few reptiles without a tank ready and then had a last minute rush to do that.

Same here. Mine is about 2 pounds and was in the kitchen. xD
 
I would say my Lates Calcarifer surprised me the most at how fast he grew. I heard they were fast growers, but was not expecting them to be that fast.

Second, i would say my silver dat surprised me at how aggresive he is. He constatnly picks on and chases my silver prochilodus (3 inches bigger than the dat) and chases my baby indos to no end.

Went to petsupermarket wanting to put something in a ten gallon tank I had. Saw them for $8. Cool looking fish but too expeensive for one fish I thought. Didnt buy anything and went tho walmart to see the fish there. Saw the same fish again but with no price.
Talked the guy into selling him as some kind of cheap bottom feeder and got him for $2 :)

Coolest fish ever!
 
Oh thats how I purchased my four red-belly Pacu.

The guy insisted they were Tinfoil Barbs (little did he know, I had a very large TinFoil at home at that moment, probably ripping plants out of the ground and splashing water on the walls.) After 20 minutes of trying to set him straight, I decided to buy all 4 Pacu they had at that Walmart so some poor guy wouldnt by some "Tinfoil Barb" and have a really quick expensive problem... That...and my love for Pacu, and they were only $1.88!

Its funny how hardheaded some people are.
